Broken windows, doors, mirrors, and locks.
Racing into a home where the plot was not there to start.
Entering without permission,
Only after hours, in the dark.
Never giving her a voice.
Numbing the feelings of her heart,
And her thoughts.
–
Say her name LOUD AND CLEAR
Taylor’s death was left alone for two years.
Finally got her justice in 2022,
Why did it take that long?
For her name to come through?
People raged with anger.
Protests along the streets.
Yelling for justice,
Screaming for peace.
No one was listening,
Because it was merely just death.
But the system is against Black people,
Racism is not at rest.
–
Time has run out, there was none to begin with.
Armed up ready to kill,
Yanking her feelings out of bed and no light to be lit,
Loss for words for another unnecessary death,
Of a Black woman.
Raged in anger, when will this end?
